Christmas is one of the most enlivening, joyous and festive times of the year. Besides all the hullaballoo of decorations and parties, you should take out time to decorate your dollhouse as well. Miniature collectors love to embellish their dollhouses with mini decorations of all kinds. Not only is it fun, but also gives your home a very unique and sweet Christmas decoration. Although there are a number of accessories to make your dollhouse attractive and appealing, make sure that you use only the required ones, so that your dollhouse can have an uncluttered look.

Here are some easy tips to make your dollhouse look lovely and great.

  1. A pretty and unusual Christmas tree is the focal point of many dollhouses decorated for Christmas. You can either buy a miniature Christmas tree that comes decorated with all the ornaments or use your imagination or creativity to decorate them. Add decorations that resemble your own tree to bring the spirit of Christmas in the doll house.
  2. You can buy green, gold, silver or white Christmas trees with varying heights and also bring along small gift boxes, balls, stars or angels to place on the tree. Try placing some cotton beneath the tree to give for a snowy look. You can also make beaded tree garlands, candy sticks and other items (on your own) for tree decoration.
  3. There are so many decorations that can be included in your dollhouse such as artificial snowmen, silver bells, stockings for the fireplace, wreaths as well as Santa Claus. You can also try buying a small gingerbread house to place on a dollhouse table or a holiday sled and load it with loads of presents.
  4. You can also add a personal touch to your dollhouse by hand lettering with fine felts or paints, deco paging a printed name, embroidering or using other techniques. Experiment and come up with your own styles. There are so many adorable statues to place around your dollhouse like those of Santa or Christmas Beers. Most of these statues are one and a half inch tall and come with hooks so that they can be attached to the Christmas tree.
  5. How can we forget a Christmas decoration without lights? Well, Christmas lights can make your dollhouse look more festive and scintillating. Even if your dollhouse is not wired for lighting, some of the Christmas lights can be plugged into a regular outlet. You can get small light garlands to light up the dollhouse tree or put the lighting over the roof of the house.

So, use the above ideas and create a lovely and dazzling miniature dollhouse for Christmas.
